Chris Carney, Dealer Principal
Chris was one of the first dealers in Queensland to embrace the Lexus brand. A highly-successful, award winning automotive dealer for over 40 years, he instantly saw the attraction of the Lexus brand and the attention to detail, precision engineering and technological innovations that makes it a luxury automotive-market titan. He drives his team to achieve the same commitment to excellence and customer relationships that he himself values. Chris is very hands-on, and can regularly be found greeting new and old friends in the showroom.
Tamara Hall, Parts Manager
With seven years of industry experience and a valued member of the team since 2020, Tamara brings a strong foundation of knowledge and leadership to the Parts Department. She is committed to delivering genuine parts support with accuracy, efficiency, and a high standard of customer care. Tamara takes great pride in precision and streamlined processes, ensuring orders are handled correctly, timelines are met, and customers receive the right solution the first time. Her focus on efficiency supports both retail and workshop operations, creating a seamless experience across departments. Starr Maxfield, Customer Experience Coordinator / Service Advisor
Starr is the welcoming and energetic face that greets our guests when they enter our showroom. With a background in Customer Relations, she understands your needs and frequently goes above and beyond to make sure your expectations are exceeded. Samuel Micklethwaite, Sales Manager
Samuel is our dedicated Sales Manager and will help with all of your New Vehicles Needs. Samuel moved to Townsville with family in Sept 2013 and has mainly worked in retail and hospitality jobs previously, after having his son a change was needed which led him to apply for a detailing position here at Mike Carney Toyota. After only a few months his excellent work ethic had been noticed and was suggested to upper management where he was offered a position change to be a New Vehicle sales Consultant. Since starting in Toyota New Vehicle sales in Jan 2021 Samuel was again offered a wonderful opportunity to join the Lexus of Townsville Team as the Sales Consultant.
Richael Neethling, Service Manager
With two decades of experience in the motor industry, Richael brings a wealth of knowledge and leadership to the Lexus team. Originally from South Africa, Richael’s automotive journey has taken her across continents, building her reputation in both South Africa and New Zealand before joining us here in Australia.
Over the past 10 years, she has held senior management roles within the Toyota and Lexus networks, combining her technical expertise with a deep commitment to customer service. Richael is a nationally recognised Master Service Advisor in New Zealand — a testament to her dedication to service excellence and customer satisfaction.
Known for her calm leadership, attention to detail and pursuit of continuous improvement, Richael applies the principles of Kaizen in her everyday work life. Her focus is on delivering seamless guest experiences while supporting her team to grow and thrive.
